Step 2

Tug the saree to the front followed by beginning the pleats roughly. Yank the saree about the size of the finger. Stretch it forefinger to the thumb.

Step 3

Make 5-8 pleats. The number of plates depends on the fabric. Stow the pleats into the skirt. It is good to use a safety pin towards the left side of the waist for safety.

Step 4

You will be left withpallu. Now, it is up to you to either let it flow. You can keep it short or long floating or pleat it together.

Step 5

If you want to have a floating look, bring the pallu towards the left side from under the right arm. Pin it on the left shoulder. You can either leave it until the end or hold it the forearm.

Step 6

If you want to have a pleated look, you need to bring the pallu from under the right arm. You need to make vertical pleats that should about 5-6 inches with the border. Continue along the saree breadth.
